Augmented Reality

Hot on the heels of the news event that finally toppled Haiti out of the 24 hour news cycle, was the oh-so-important, oh-so-relevant announcement of the iPad.

Right on cue, howls of discontent populated the blogosphere about supposed lack of features, one of which stood out to me; the lack of a camera, and therefore the no-show of the Apple-branded augmented reality device that would finally fully realize the iPhones untapped potential. Coincidentally, as this all played out I stumbled onto this fascinating video produced by Keiichi Matsuda. I can’t say it makes me too excited about augmented reality, but I did enjoy the speculation.
