Takes The Cake

I’ve seen some pretty incredible architectural solutions over the years, mostly in European cities. Modern amenities were never part of the grand scheme of things in buildings that are often centuries old; coming across a wall that veers wildly off-axis, or stairways that require mountain climbing gear were always tolerated, even if borderline dangerous.

Having said that, this bathroom in New York City ranks right up at the top of the “what the heck?” charts. Needless to say, I could barely use the thing without risking toppling backwards. To make matters worse, it was serving a raucous party that had its fair share of balance-affecting beverages – I wonder how many people had the pleasure of meeting the bottom of the stairs head first?
